This section helps users to quickly get familiar with basic operations on the Goshen Testnet that’s based on Ethereum Goerli Testnet. The Goshen Testnet consists of:
Goshen Testnet: L2 Testnet of Goshen
Goshen Testnet explorer: The L2 Testnet explorer based on blockscout
Token Bridge: A bridge for transferring tokens between L1 and L2
You can get ETH from Goerli faucet
Open the Token Bridge page, you'll see below UI:
Click on "Connect Wallet" and connect the wallet. If the network does not match, click "Switch To Goerli TestNet" to switch to the correct network.
Select the token type and amount. For the first time transferring assets other than ETH, you'll need to "approve" the operation first by following instructions shown on the page. Then click on the "Deposit" button and sign the transaction from the wallet pop-up window. The tokens will be received on the Goshen network after a few minutes.
When you need to transfer the assets back to Ethereum Goerli from Goshen, you'll use the "Withdraw" function. Unlike deposit, there are two steps: initiate withdrawal and complete withdrawal.
This step should be completed on Goshen network.
Go to Token Bridge and click "Withdraw":
If the network is incorrect, click "Switch To Goshen TestNet Alpha" to switch to Goshen Testnet.
Enter the amount and token type, and then click "Withdraw" to initiate the withdrawal.
Once initiated, you can view the progress of the withdrawal by clicking on the "View your history" button to view all records.
On Goshen Testnet, withdrawals take around 4 hours because of the challenge period, after which the withdrawal status will become "Relayable". Now switch the network in your wallet to Ethereum Goerli, and click "Relayable" to complete the withdrawal.
